thrilling and true…mostly

Another amazingly evocative poem…

It  looks so simple from a distance

The way lives touch,

touch and spring apart,

the pulse synaptic,

local, but its stretch

electric – as when cities

lose themselves in velvet

under winking planes,

binding back hostilities with gold chains.

brevity is the soul of wit

  • Just finished reading Birdsong. Loved it - but what should I read next? Any suggestions? #books #reading 1 day ago
  • Moving house never gets any easier. I need to win the lottery so I can pay someone else to do it all. Pfffff. 2 days ago
  • George! GEORGE! We love you George! *screams* 3 days ago
  • How can Sheeran win over The Vaccines? Pffffffff 3 days ago
